The DashDirect project is a direct giving basic income project. We are set up this way because administrative costs are an outdated construct that cuts into charitable giving. We believe that basic income is a right that every human has and we believe that donations should not be caught up and siphoned off to pay administrative costs that may or may not benefit the cause. The DashDirect team is a group of dedicated volunteers who share this idea.
Please take a minute to get to know our team, and how each of us is working to make the DashDirect vision possible. Our team gives their time freely, and we are appreciative of any tips to support our work. Thank you!
DD: What is your role in DashDirect?
Zachariah: I lead the front facing outreach for DashDirect. This includes blogging, collecting and proofing progress reports and video from the ground team in Ghana, keeping abreast developers’ progress, and reporting/coordinating this info with our web publishing team.
DD: What’s your favorite film?
Zachariah: All time…I’d have to go with American Beauty. I love the message that it’s never too late to redefine yourself and find beauty in the life you make.
DD: How did you learn about DashDirect and when did you start working with the project?
Zachariah: Shortly after I joined the Dash Nation, I was looking for ways to earn some Dash to fund a future proposal. Someone suggested that I try the Skillshare channel in Slack, and I met CEO Joezippy. Joe offered me a spot, and my life has been changed for the better simply by helping spread the word about DashDirect’s Basic Income Project.
DD: What’s your favorite color?
Zachariah: Purple and Green
DD: What might you be doing when you’re not saving the world with DashDirect?
Zachariah: When I’m home, I keep busy raising two awesome girls. When they’re in bed, I’m catching up on Dash news and projects. The other 40 hours in my week are spent “workin’for the man”.
